A List For Carol

Here you go Ceeb~my Valentine's list of things I love about the 'Lympics:

1. Rooting for the USA
2. Being amazed by those male speedskaters leg muscles (and, to tell the truth, their odd looking packages. I know, this is so wrong of me, on so many levels. I can't help it)
3. Thinking that I could, just maybe, do a triple-toe-loop (if I had the right costume)
4. Hours of knitting time, interrupted only by bathroom trips for self & doggie
5. Days going by with no thought of chores
6. Being stunned at how young the snowboarders are (and their exuberance. Is that just their youth, or the enjoyment of their sport?)
7. Wondering what new sport the 'Lympic people will think up next (I'm voting for Olympic Bowling. Hello, sweeping I mean curling is already on the menu)

On a more serious note, I do thoroughly love the Olympics, and am really enjoying watching all the events I can. I even had my husband record everything tonight, since I was out knitting and had promised he could have the tv tonight. I really am amazed by all of the Olympic athletes, and can't imagine how hard they have to work to get where they are.

On a more sleepy note, it is definitely past my bedtime. And I haven't even brushed my teeth yet.
So goodnight!

progress..

Posted by PicasaIt doesn't look like much, but here's the cardigan I've been working on forEVER! I have done two buttonholes, and only have 200 more to do. Probably more like 5, but it feels like 200. Of course, I would have progressed farther if I hadn't made the mistake of asking my Dana friend if she could see the booboo on the button band. Of course she did, and right away. So I had to rip out 5 rows and I have only just now knit back up to where I was when the foul unknitting had to be done.
How does that saying go? I want it to look handmade, not homemade. I think that's it
Anyway, I have the two sleeves done, and if I'm reading the pattern correctly I will be connecting them to the body at some point and then be knitting in the round again. That's if I'm reading correctly, and understanding correctly.
Whatever.

Tonight my beloved and I went to Fuddrucker's for dinner with Dana & John. I sure do love that place. I love being able to put however many dill pickle slices I want on my burger. And I really love being able to order the swiss melt without onions, and then putting raw onion slices on top of 50 dill pickle slices.
I was in hog heaven.
Except now all I can smell is onion.

Tomorrow is the SuperBowl. The last game of the year, for me anyway. I never have watched the ProBowl. Well, I did once, and that made me realize I don't like it.
I am excited, and not really sure which team I want to win. I guess I probably lean more towards the Steelers than the Seahawks. Hopefully it will be a good game.

I'm gonna go catch up on my blog reading now.
Well, first I'm gonna go soak my fingers in lemon juice.
Then blog catch up.
Good night!
